Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pekka Perkele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miksu Rupunen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perkele comes into the arena with Impaled Nazarene - Hardboiled And Still Hellbound blaring out of the sound system. Rupunen comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Johnny Cash - God's Gonna Cut You Down kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pekka Perkele!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Miksu Rupunen!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perkele drops Rupunen with a right and a left! Perkele comes rushing in but Rupunen regains his composure and manages to keep Perkele in guard.
Rupunen is rocked!
It looks like Miksu Rupunen has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rupunen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Rupunen is still in real trouble! Can Perkele finish him?
Perkele distracts Rupunen with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Rupunen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Perkele can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Perkele missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Rupunen seems to have recovered his senses.
Perkele is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Perkele postures up in Rupunen's guard and throws a big left but Rupunen blocks it.
Rupunen wants to sweep here but Perkele controlling him for the moment.

Rupunen is controlling Perkele's posture.

Rupunen is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Perkele has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Rupunen. Oh but Perkele has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Rupunen goes limp - he's gone! Perkele jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Pekka Perkele!
