Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hermann Goring (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donald Cerrone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hermann Goring!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Donald Cerrone!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cerrone throws a wild body kick that Goring sees coming a mile off.
Cerrone rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Goring moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A head kick misses from Cerrone.
Goring avoids a punch combination nicely.
Goring fails to land the takedown.
Cerrone misses with a head kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Cerrone looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Goring checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Goring closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Cerrone breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Goring avoids the head kick by Cerrone.

Goring closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Cerrone did well to prevent Goring getting side control.

Goring is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cerrone defends it well.
Cerrone tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Cerrone might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Goring kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Goring is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cerrone sees it coming and defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cerrone holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Goring is trying to control the action in half guard but Cerrone is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Cerrone forces Goring back against the cage and clinches.
Cerrone throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Goring blocks it with crossed arms.
Goring tries for a takedown but Cerrone manages to get underhooks.

Goring drops down looking for an ankle pick but Cerrone pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hermann Goring. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Goring is breathing heavily.
Goring shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cerrone defends it nicely.

Goring closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Cerrone to the mat! Cerrone manages to get full guard.
Cerrone has control of Goring's left arm, preventing Goring from doing any damage.
Goring trying to control the position from guard on top but Cerrone is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Cerrone is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Goring is refusing to be controlled, as Cerrone sits in half guard.
Goring is looking to escape.
Cerrone wants to take a breather but Goring is having none of it.
Cerrone tries to pass to full mount but Goring defends it.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Cerrone wants to stand up but Goring is controlling the position.
Goring wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Goring looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Cerrone!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Cerrone holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Goring tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Cerrone is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Goring wants to take Cerrone's back here but Cerrone is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Cerrone regains half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Goring has a takedown stuffed.
No joy there for Cerrone, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cerrone throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Goring blocks a head kick by Cerrone.
Cerrone throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Goring's head.


It looks like Hermann Goring has been cut.
Goring avoids the head kick by Cerrone.
Goring shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cerrone defends it nicely.
Donald Cerrone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cerrone misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Donald Cerrone is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Goring counters with a nice double leg into guard.

and Goring decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cerrone's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cerrone is on top in guard.

Cerrone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Goring swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cerrone accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Cerrone keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hermann Goring. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cerrone stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Goring gets the takedown into side control.
Cerrone manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Goring avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Cerrone.
Cerrone really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Goring. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Cerrone in particular looking to stall.

Cerrone seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Goring does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Goring avoids the head kick by Cerrone.

Goring feints and as Cerrone raises his hands in defense, Goring changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Goring is working Cerrone over with some ground and pound from side control.
Goring is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Cerrone's shoulder. That is not cool.
Cerrone can't do much from the bottom here.
Goring grinds an elbow into Cerrone's temple.
Cerrone is working to avoid the ground and pound but Goring connects with a decent elbow.

Goring wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cerrone, who protects the arm well.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Goring circles away from the clinch attempt.

Cerrone throws a head kick but Goring moves out of range.
Cerrone tries to clinch but Goring moves away

and Goring counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Goring trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Goring wants to control from the top but Cerrone keeps moving.
Goring postures up.
Cerrone tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Goring is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Cerrone throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Cerrone displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Goring.
Cerrone misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Donald Cerrone is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Goring closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Cerrone is trying to improve his position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Goring, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
