Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Filho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dingadingading Dong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Filho's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, NAS - Hate Me Now. Dingadingading Dong is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Paulo Filho!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Dingadingading Dong!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dong fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Filho sprawls well initially but Dong persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Dong is working for a submission of some sort.

Dong is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Filho tries to get to full guard but Dong has control of the leg.
Filho tries to kick Dong off but Dong keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Filho is looking to improve his position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Filho tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Dong manages to move to mount!
Filho is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Dong is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Filho has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Filho is looking to get to half guard.
Dong is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Filho tries to hold on but Dong postures up.

Dong has control of Filho's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Filho regains control of the situation pretty easily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Dong is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Filho sees it coming and defends easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Filho moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Filho had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dong defends it easily.

Dong avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Filho has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dong can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Dong drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Filho wants to stand up but Dong is controlling him.

Filho looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Dong has picked Filho up and slammed him! Filho can't keep hold of the triangle and Dong manages to pass to side control!

Dong thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Filho wants to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Filho is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Filho is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dong pulls his head out easily.
Filho tries to roll over but Dong keeps him under control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Dong showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Filho.
Dong avoids a punch combination nicely.
Filho misses with a wild combination.

Filho lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dong circles away quickly and effectively.

Filho throws a right hand that Dong ducks under and follows up with a left that Dong also avoids with ease.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Filho rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dong moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Filho throws a hook to the side of Dong's head but Dong sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Dong shoots in for a double leg but Filho sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Dong tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Filho swivels and escapes.
Filho throws a nice looking combination but Dong bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
No joy there for Filho, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dong is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Filho.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Filho will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That was a close second round but I would say that Paulo Filho will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Filho lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Dong backs up against the cage.
Filho is looking to score with low kicks.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dong.

Paulo Filho has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dingadingading Dong.

Filho has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Dong doesn't defend quickly enough and Filho has managed to lock this one up! Can Dong escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Filho on a fantastic submission victory.
