Paninii cracks Kimura with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Kimura closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Kimura is looking to take a break and control but Paninii is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Paninii tries to kick Kimura off but Kimura keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Paninii won't allow Kimura to pass to mount.
