Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dirk Janssen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Macdonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Janssen comes to the cage accompanied by No Easy Way Out by Robert Tepper. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andrew Macdonald!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Janssen moves out of range of the body kick.
Macdonald throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Janssen goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Macdonald tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Janssen paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Macdonald, right into the meat.
Macdonald swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Janssen cracks the inside of Macdonald's front leg.
Macdonald scores with a leg kick.
Janssen fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Macdonald.
A head kick from Janssen lands but Macdonald takes it in his stride.
Janssen throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

It looks like Andrew Macdonald has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Janssen tries a head kick but it misses.

Janssen throws a leg kick but Macdonald sees it coming and moves out of range.
Nice defenses there by Janssen.
Janssen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Janssen takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Macdonald walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Janssen checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Janssen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Janssen pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
The fight stays on the outside here - Macdonald looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Macdonald has taken the fight to the clinch.
Macdonald misses with a knee to the head.
Macdonald tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Janssen avoids it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Andrew Macdonald seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Janssen lands a big head kick that sends Macdonald tumbling to the mat! Janssen takes a step backwards and waves Macdonald back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Macdonald is rocked!
The fighters circle, before Janssen throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Macdonald's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Janssen lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
