The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams stuffs the takedown attempt from Pierce. Pierce gets slowly back to his feet.
Williams swinging wilding here.
Williams throws a nice outside leg kick.
Williams lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Williams should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Williams fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Williams defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Pierce.
Pierce shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Williams as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Damon Pierce. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pierce tries to close the distance and clinch up but Williams swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Williams feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Pierce is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Williams has his hands clasped together but Pierce extends an breaks Williams's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Pierce.
