The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Escuadero looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
McGoose defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Escuadero.
Escuadero dives in and grabs McGoose's left leg, looking for a takedown. McGoose pushes down on Escuadero's head and hops out.
Escuadero avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
McGoose misses with a takedown attempt - Escuadero sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Escuadero fails with the takedown
and McGoose counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Bruce McGoose has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ray Escuadero.
McGoose wants to clinch.

McGoose shoots in and bounces Escuadero off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Escuadero tries to land a sweep but no joy.

McGoose is pushing down on Escuadero's leg trying to pass to half guard. Escuadero is fighting to maintain full guard but McGoose has managed to sneak the leg through.
McGoose wants to lay and pray for a moment but Escuadero keeps working.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Escuadero is trying to get back to full guard.
McGoose passes the guard and advances to mount!

Escuadero tries to improve his position but McGoose has taken his back! McGoose has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Escuadero tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! McGoose pushes Escuadero away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
