The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacArthur tries to clinch but Fury moves out of range.
MacArthur stuns Fury with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
MacArthur blocks a head kick by Fury.
Nice sprawl there from Fury as MacArthur shoots in.

MacArthur bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Fury holding on.
Fury tries to bench press MacArthur off him but MacArthur keeps the position.
Fury sneaks back into half guard.
Fury preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

MacArthur prevents Fury from standing back up.
MacArthur thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Fury wants to control but MacArthur is keeping busy and won't allow it.

MacArthur is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Fury doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time MacArthur.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Fury is concentrating on defense, preventing MacArthur from advancing position.

MacArthur drops back, looking for a kneebar! Fury looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Fury looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Fury!
MacArthur looks to move to half guard but instead Fury has passed into mount! Damn!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Fury prevents MacArthur from getting the reversal.
Fury takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close round but I would say that Red Fury will probably get the nod.

Fury throws a quick head kick that skims the top of MacArthur's head.

It looks like Shawn MacArthur has been cut.

Fury scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

The cut above Shawn MacArthur's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Shawn MacArthur's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fury stalks MacArthur and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into MacArthur's face. MacArthur staggers backwards, shaken.
