Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Allen is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Mann gegen Mann. Jesse Allen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jesse Allen!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz tries to clinch up but Allen circles away and keeps his distance.
Diaz swats away the attempt to clinch by Allen.
Allen lands with a nice body punch.

Allen closes the distance and clinches.
Allen with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Allen pulls Diaz into guard.
Allen keeping moving, preventing Diaz from controlling successfully.

Allen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Diaz defends well.
Allen seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Allen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diaz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Diaz is fighting to break Allen's control of his arms but Allen is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Allen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Diaz manages to get himself to full guard.

Allen wants to pass the guard but Diaz is keeping the position.

Mike Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Diaz scores with a takedown into Allen's guard.

Diaz has gone for a leg lock! Allen slips out almost immediately though and dives into Diaz's guard.
Allen trying to control but Diaz is working from the bottom.

Diaz isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Allen stacks Diaz on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Allen!

Allen decides to stand back up. Allen steps back and let's Diaz get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jesse Allen will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



The fight moves into the clinch position.
Allen pressing his opponent against the cage.
Diaz tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Allen smiles and moves away.
Diaz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Allen tries to avoid it but Diaz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Allen to the ground. Allen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice takedown defense from Diaz. No joy for Allen on that attempt.
Allen circles away from the clinch attempt
and Allen counters with a head kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Allen shoots for a takedown but Diaz saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

and Allen counters with a shoot takedown. Diaz fights it but they end up in guard.

Diaz is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Diaz wants to control the position but Allen says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Allen throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Allen decides to stand up.
Allen dives in and grabs Diaz's left leg, looking for a takedown. Diaz pushes down on Allen's head and hops out.
Mike Diaz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jesse Allen.

and Allen moves into the clinch.
Allen has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Diaz is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Diaz tries for a takedown but Allen manages to get underhooks.
Allen drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Diaz gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Diaz ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Diaz no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Allen wants to control from the top but Diaz keeps moving.
Diaz lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Allen!

Allen is desperately trying to improve his position but Diaz has a good base and remains in mount.
Diaz trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Allen tries to hold on but Diaz pushes him away.
The referee warns Allen that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Diaz wants to control the pace but Allen is squirming around nicely.

Diaz goes for an armbar but Allen turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Allen.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Allen wants to control from the top but Diaz keeps moving.

Allen avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Diaz lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Allen!

Allen reaches up to try and control the position but Diaz seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Allen rolls and tries to escape and now Diaz has his back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jesse Allen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Allen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Diaz swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Diaz drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Allen keeping moving, preventing Diaz from controlling successfully.
Allen wants to sweep here but Diaz controlling him for the moment.

Allen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Diaz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Allen throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Jesse Allen is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Allen comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Mike Diaz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Allen throws a head kick that Diaz semi-blocks.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mike Diaz showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Allen has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
