The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez is looking to clinch but Moreira is avoiding it.
A punch lands to the side of Moreira 's head but he takes it in his stride.

It looks like Rodrigo Moreira has been cut.
Rodriguez doesn't manage to clinch there - Moreira circles away.
Rodriguez misses with a head kick.
Moreira keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Moreira avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Eddie Rodriguez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rodriguez tries to close the distance and clinch but Moreira swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Rodriguez lands a big head kick that sends Moreira tumbling to the mat! Rodriguez takes a step backwards and waves Moreira back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Moreira tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rodriguez swivels and escapes.

Rodriguez lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Rodriguez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rodriguez wants to clinch up but Moreira keeps it at a distance.
Moreira is trying desperately to land a takedown but Rodriguez is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Moreira.

Moreira drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Moreira is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rodriguez knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Rodriguez is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Moreira asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Rodriguez pushes Moreira off and gets back to his feet.
Rodriguez turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Rodriguez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Rodriguez fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Moreira is desperately trying to improve his position but Rodriguez has a good base and remains in mount.

Rodriguez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Moreira bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Rodriguez cracks Moreira with a right hand to the side of the head.

That has opened up Rodrigo Moreira's cut even more.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rodriguez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Moreira moves away.
Moreira is breathing heavily.

Moreira circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rodriguez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Moreira paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Rodriguez throws a quick inside leg kick.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Rodriguez! Moreira is backing up but he can't get away as Rodriguez lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Moreira and ends the fight. Great knockout.
