The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
dos Diabos stuffs the takedown.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from dos Diabos.
Palhares misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
dos Diabos keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Palhares changes levels and goes for a takedown here. dos Diabos fights it off and pushes away nicely.

and Palhares counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
dos Diabos had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Palhares is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. dos Diabos Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Palhares's back instead.
