Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Akuma Pjiton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nate Jackman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Akuma Pjiton could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Nate Jackman's chin.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pjiton tries to keep at a distance but Jackman has taken the fight into the clinch.
Jackman lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
The referee calls for Jackman to work.
Jackman pushes Pjiton back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Pjiton fails to pull guard.
Jackman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jackman connects with a looping right hand.
Jackman shoots in and bounces Pjiton off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Jackman gets to his feet. Pjiton looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Jackman fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Jackman lands with an uppercut that bounces Pjiton off the cage and back into rage.
A combination from Jackman does no damage.
Pjiton takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Pjiton takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Jackman lands a nice shot to the body.
Jackman shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Pjiton manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Pjiton is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jackman is aware though and is defending well.
Pjiton looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jackman wants to control from the top but Pjiton keeps moving.
Jackman advances position into side control!
Jackman remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Jackman works to advance to full mount. Pjiton defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Pjiton is squirming around, avoiding Jackman's attempts to control the action.
Pjiton is working to get back to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pjiton can't escape the position.
Pjiton is breathing heavily.
Pjiton tries to lock up and control but Jackman gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Jackman can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Pjiton is looking to escape.
Pjiton tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Jackman jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Pjiton manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Jackman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pjiton keeps working.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jackman tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Pjiton manages to get back to half guard.
Jackman content to control rather than advance.
Jackman is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Pjiton is just riding it out for now. Jackman eventually gives up the hold.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Pjiton is trying to maintain the position but Jackman is very close to passing his half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The fighters are battling for position here. Pjiton manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Jackman passes easily into side control. Nice work.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jackman trying to control the action but Pjiton is working from the bottom.
A lull in the action here as Jackman stalls from top position.
Despite being in the dominant position, Nate Jackman just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Pjiton tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jackman swats him away and circles back towards the center.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nate Jackman dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Jackman throws a quick inside leg kick.
Jackman connects with a nice looking jab.
Jackman misses with a head kick.
Pjiton darts in trying to clinch
and Jackman counters with a nice uppercut.
Jackman shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pjiton's guard.

Jackman must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Jackman passes into half guard.
Pjiton is looking to improve his position.
Pjiton is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jackman pulls his head out easily.
Jackman is taking a breather. Pjiton says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jackman is working for a kimura but Pjiton is defending it quite comfortably.
Pjiton is staying active underneath Jackman, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Jackman stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Jackman pushes Pjiton up against the cage in a clinch.
Pjiton tries to pull guard but Jackman won't allow it.

Pjiton is looking to control Jackman's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pjiton avoid being mounted?
Jackman in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Pjiton tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Jackman!
