The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Koronkovic has Schaefer up against the cage in a clinch.

Koronkovic is fighting off a takedown attempt but Schaefer is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Koronkovic to the mat. Koronkovic regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Koronkovic wants to stand and escape but Schaefer is having none of it.
Koronkovic throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Schaefer trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Koronkovic can do anything to dispel that myth.
Koronkovic utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Schaefer thows a big elbow that misses.
Schaefer trying to control but Koronkovic is working from the bottom.
Koronkovic throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Schaefer stands up over Koronkovic, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Koronkovic wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Schaefer manages to pass to side control.
Koronkovic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Schaefer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Koronkovic has his hands clasped together around Schaefer's back. He's all about the action.
Koronkovic misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Schaefer is nestled in close to Koronkovic, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Schaefer is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Koronkovic is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
