Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Felix Fishpockets (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Filipe Belo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fishpockets comes to the cage accompanied by I don't know how to love him. Belo comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Apaga mais não bate kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Filipe Belo was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Felix Fishpockets!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Filipe Belo!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Paulo Santos and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fishpockets loads up on a big right hand but Belo slips the punch.
Filipe Belo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Belo looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Fishpockets moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Belo goes down! Can Fishpockets finish him!?


Belo is rocked!


It looks like Filipe Belo has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Fishpockets passes into half guard.
Belo won't allow Fishpockets to pass to mount.
Fishpockets wants to take a breather but Belo is having none of it.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Fishpockets is nestled in close to Belo, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Fishpockets is looking for a kimura here.
Fishpockets wants to free his trapped foot but Belo is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Fishpockets is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Belo is just riding it out for now. Fishpockets eventually gives up the hold.

Fishpockets has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Fishpockets is trying to control the action in half guard but Belo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Fishpockets is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Belo!

Fishpockets wants to control the pace but Belo is squirming around nicely.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Fishpockets lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Fishpockets is going olschool here, as he tries to force Belo to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Belo shrugs it off.
Fishpockets lands with some strikes.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Fishpockets has control of Belo's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Belo regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Belo has given up his back.
Fishpockets scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Belo is looking for a way out.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Fishpockets. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
