Orton's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Voices. Scott has chosen Down as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Randy Orton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nathan Scott!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott avoids a punch combination nicely.
Scott has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Orton finds it's way round the side to connect with Scott's head.

Scott closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Orton did well to prevent Scott getting side control.
Scott wants to control but Orton is keeping him busy.

Scott seems to be working for a kimura but Orton defends the submission attempt.
Scott is figuring out what he wants to do next.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Scott closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Scott lands in his opponent's guard.

Scott got a little sloppy there for a moment and Orton has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Scott has managed to get both his arms back between Orton's legs - danger averted.

That was a close round but I would say that Randy Orton will probably get the nod.

Scott has managed to clinch.

Orton is fighting off a takedown attempt but Scott is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Orton to the mat. Orton regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Scott stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Orton swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Scott throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Scott shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Orton's guard.

Oh but Orton is tightening it up a little... Scott has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Scott reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Scott taps out! nice BJJ there by Orton!
