The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carwin Jr defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jericho.
Jericho showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Carwin Jr.
Carwin Jr displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jericho.

Carwin Jr drops Jericho with a beautiful combination! Jericho stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Carwin Jr is looking for the KO!

Jericho is rocked!

It looks like Andrew Jericho has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Carwin Jr throws a low kick, looking for Jericho's leg but Jericho calmly moves out of range.

Carwin Jr clinches.
Jericho has Carwin Jr pressed against the cage, preventing Carwin Jr from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Jericho drags the fight down to the ground.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Carwin Jr throws a strike but Jericho rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Carwin Jr doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Carwin Jr wants to stand up but Jericho is controlling him.

Carwin Jr is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Jericho stays in close to Carwin Jr's body and controls the position.
Carwin Jr wants to stand and escape but Jericho is having none of it.

Jericho is standing up over Carwin Jr. Carwin Jr looks to escape but Jericho dives into side control.
Carwin Jr really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jericho. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jericho is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Carwin Jr is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Jericho stands up and beckons Carwin Jr to his feet.

Carwin Jr is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jericho's half guard.

Carwin Jr wants to get up but he can't break Jericho's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Carwin Jr tries to get to full guard but Jericho has control of the leg.

Jericho is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Carwin Jr doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jericho.
Jericho stops Carwin Jr from getting back to his feet.

Jericho has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Carwin Jr defend it? Jericho steps over the head and cranks it - Carwin Jr is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Jericho!
