The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bolt looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Bolt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Bolt tries to lock up and control but Smith gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Smith is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Bolt is surviving well by controlling Smith's body position as best he can.
Bolt somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!

Smith scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Smith shoots in for a double leg but Bolt sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Bolt tries to clinch there but Smith circles away.
Smith closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Smith lands in his opponent's guard.
