The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sven throws a hook but Douillet avoids it easily.
Sven looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Johan Sven seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Douillet shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Douillet showed some decent athleticism there.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Douillet is trying to escape the mount.
BOOM! Sven connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Sven lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Douillet is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Sven wants to control but Douillet has made it back to half guard. Nice work.

Sven wants to stand but Douillet has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Sven thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Douillet's head.

A close round but David Douillet will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Douillet takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Douillet takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Sven keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Sven jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Sven throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Sven throws a shot from downtown. Douillet moves away and avoids it.
Sven fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sven connects with a good right hand that stumbles Douillet. Douillet circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

It looks like David Douillet has been cut.
Douillet is breathing heavily.
Sven dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Douillet avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Sven lands a nice hook to Douillet's body. Douillet takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
