Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris Huynh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and micah Parris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Parris has chosen invincible as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parris shoots in looking for a takedown. Huynh tries to sprawl out of it but Parris keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Huynh manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A combination from Parris does no damage.
Chris Huynh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Parris seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Huynh does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Huynh wants to control the pace but Parris is squirming around nicely.

Parris is in a horrible position here. Huynh smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

and Parris counters by clinching up.
Parris is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Huynh gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Huynh escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Parris will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Parris dodges the punch combination from Huynh.
Huynh tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Parris swivels and escapes.
Huynh dives in and grabs Parris's left leg, looking for a takedown. Parris pushes down on Huynh's head and hops out.

and Huynh counters with a nice double leg into side control. Parris won't be happy with that.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Parris prevents Huynh from moving into mount.
Parris manages to work his way to half guard, despite Huynh's best efforts.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Parris is trying to maintain the position but Huynh is very close to passing his half guard.
Huynh working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Parris won't allow Huynh to pass to mount.
Parris regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Huynh.
Chris Huynh overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Huynh wants to control from the top but Parris keeps moving.
Huynh stands and throws Parris's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Huynh stands up and beckons Parris to his feet.

Chris Huynh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of micah Parris.
Huynh is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
