PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aiden Marx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexandr Molotov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Molotov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Molotov slips under a jab from Marx.
Molotov tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Marx swivels and escapes.
Marx throws a lazy right hand but Molotov sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
The fighters circling - Marx throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Molotov takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Marx swings for the body but Molotov moves out of range.
Molotov fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Aiden Marx has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexandr Molotov.
Marx throws a big shot that misses.
Molotov shoots in looking for a takedown. Marx tries to sprawl out of it but Molotov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Marx manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Molotov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Marx's waist but Marx gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Molotov off to one side.

Marx smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Marx comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Molotov looks gassed!
Molotov walks into a stiff left hand from Marx.

It looks like Alexandr Molotov has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Molotov decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marx wants to improve his position but Molotov is controlling well.
Marx wants to control but Molotov is keeping busy.

Marx is trying to stand back up but Molotov is controlling him
Marx keeping hold of Molotov's head, controlling as best he can.
Marx is trying to control but Molotov manages to pass to mount!

Molotov can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Marx is looking to escape.
Molotov wants to take Marx's back but he can't do it this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Marx keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Molotov controlling from the full mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aiden Marx dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Alexandr Molotov's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Marx lands a nice hook to Molotov's body. Molotov takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Marx throws the left hand but Molotov avoids the punch easily.
Alexandr Molotov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Molotov misses with a kick to the body.
Marx tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Marx throws a series of punches but Molotov avoids them all with ease.
Marx with a nice cross.
Molotov dives in and grabs Marx's left leg, looking for a takedown. Marx pushes down on Molotov's head and hops out.
Aiden Marx is winning the standup battle so far.
Molotov moves out of range as Marx strikes.
Molotov is breathing heavily.

Marx paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Marx swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Marx tries a low kick but Molotov avoids it.
Marx connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Marx fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Molotov keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Marx.

Marx drops Molotov with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Molotov looks back up at him and smiles so Marx waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Marx cracks Molotov with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Marx has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Molotov to stand back up!

Molotov is rocked!
Marx darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Molotov's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Marx before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
