The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson shoots in but Gracie avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Gracie tries to lock up and control but Anderson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Anderson jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Gracie manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Gracie looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Gracie is breathing heavily.
Anderson wants to get back to full guard but Gracie has passed into side control.

Anderson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Anderson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Anderson feints and as Gracie raises his hands in defense, Anderson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
