The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Punisher fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Hadou The Punisher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Aries gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows The Punisher to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Aries utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Aries keeping moving, preventing The Punisher from controlling successfully.
The Punisher loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The Punisher throwing strikes from guard but Aries blocks nicely.
The Punisher trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

The Punisher is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The Punisher drops back looking for a leg! Aries is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Aries manages to kick The Punisher off! The Punisher jumps back into Aries's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
The Punisher shoots in and drives through. Aries sprawls well.
Aries connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Aries scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
The Punisher looks gassed!

The Punisher slips a jab and a cross from Aries.
Aries feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending The Punisher crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
