Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lelei Tinae (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Sum 41 - I'm Not The One. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tinae.

Jones scores with a takedown into Tinae's guard.
Tinae keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully.
Tinae pulls Jones in to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tinae's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Jones looking to pass the guard.
Tinae looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jones is one step ahead there.
Tinae is trying to control the position but Jones postures up.

Jones thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Tinae keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully.
Tinae wants to sweep here but Jones controlling him for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Tinae misses the shot to the body.

Jones feints and as Tinae raises his hands in defense, Jones changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Tinae wants to sweep here but Jones controlling him for the moment.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tinae can do anything to dispel that myth.
Jones passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Tinae sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Tinae is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Tinae is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Jones is keen to just control but Tinae is a slippery customer.

Jones is looking for a kimura but Tinae is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jones to get the leverage.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Tinae looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A slapping body kick lands there for Tinae.
Jones is breathing heavily.
Tinae lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Jones backs up against the cage.

It looks like Jason Jones has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tinae missing with a left hand there. Jones was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Tinae drops Jones with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Jones looks back up at him and smiles so Tinae waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Jones is rocked!
Tinae closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Jones! Tinae dives in looking to finish! Jones is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
