The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drakule connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Howard's hands.
Howard shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Drakule is trying to defend but Howard finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Howard throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Howard works his way into full mount!
The referee warns Drakule that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
It looks like Xarease Drakule has been cut.

Howard has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Xarease Drakule's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Xarease Drakule's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
