Immortal closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Immortal is trying to get an arm triangle but Johnson is defending well.

Immortal thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Immortal tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Immortal has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Johnson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Immortal asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Immortal misses with a few strikes there.

Johnson moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Johnson.
Johnson fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Immortal throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Immortal swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Immortal throws a leg kick which misses Johnson's front leg but catches the back leg as Johnson tries to avoid it.
Immortal swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Johnson throws a nice outside leg kick.
Johnson cracks Immortal with an open hand slap.

Immortal shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Johnson napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Immortal tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Johnson wants to get back to his feet.
Johnson looks gassed!

Immortal is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Johnson looks calm but he's in trouble here. Immortal gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Johnson is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Immortal lets go of the hold and Johnson can pop his arm back in it's socket.
