Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Buff Bagwell!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guy keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Guy throws a jab but it's blocked by Bagwell.
Guy looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Bagwell steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Guy.
Bagwell thumps Guy with a low kick.
Guy fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A left lands for Bagwell.
Bagwell bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Guy's head backwards.

Bagwell is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Guy's half guard.

Bagwell is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Guy defends it well.
Bagwell is taking a breather. Guy says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Bagwell uses his free foot to push down on Guy's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Guy.

Bagwell wants to control the pace but Guy is squirming around nicely.

Bagwell jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Guy is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Guy and Bagwell has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Bagwell is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Guy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Guy tries to buck Bagwell off but Bagwell is having none of it.
Bagwell trying to control the position but Guy is working away.

Bagwell working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Guy tries to improve position but can't.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Guy is trying to get back to half guard.
Bagwell is looking to take a break and control but Guy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bagwell remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bagwell trying to control the position but Guy is working away.
Guy tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bagwell wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Guy is working hard here to advance position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Guy throws the left hand but Bagwell avoids the punch easily.

Bagwell drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Guy wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Bagwell is now in half guard.
Guy wants to improve his position but Bagwell is controlling well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Buff Bagwell dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Bagwell scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Guy staying out of range there.
Crazy Guy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bagwell stuns Guy with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Bagwell swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Guy.
Guy throws a lazy right hand but Bagwell sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Bagwell punishes Guy's body with a nice straight punch.
Guy on the wrong end of a nice hook.
No joy there for Guy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Guy gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Guy looks to throw the jab but Bagwell is out of range.
Bagwell scores with a crisp jab that stopped Guy in his tracks.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A low kick from Guy misses
letting Bagwell counter with a right hand.


Guy is rocked!
Guy closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Oh Guy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Guy misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Bagwell counters with a big right hand! Oh Guy is in trouble here! Bagwell follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
