Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between edgar lugo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamppa Reponen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). edgar lugo looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reponen misses with the combination.
lugo uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Reponen.
lugo tries to bum rush Reponen with a series of wild strikes but Reponen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Reponen tries for a takedown but lugo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Reponen gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Reponen apologises and we restart here on the feet.

A frustrated look appears on lugo's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Reponen shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in lugo's guard.

Reponen misses with a few strikes there.
Reponen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as lugo sprawls well. lugo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Reponen gets slowly back to his feet.
Reponen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but lugo circles away quickly and effectively.

Reponen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. lugo tries to avoid it but Reponen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag lugo to the ground. lugo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Reponen swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and lugo counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Reponen is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Reponen tries to score a power double leg takedown but lugo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Reponen somewhat.
