The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Chris Edwards and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wailer looks to land a left hand but Smith moved out of range nicely.
Horrible takedown by Smith or perhaps it was just good defense by Wailer which made him look bad.
Wailer clinches.
Wailer lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
It looks like Pepe Smith has been cut.
Smith misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Wailer.
Wailer stops a takedown attempt from Smith.
Wailer content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Smith is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Wailer gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Wailer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Smith can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wailer wants to stand and escape but Smith is having none of it.

Smith drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Smith jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Smith is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wailer doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Smith.
Still in half guard, Smith seems content to control.

Wailer is pressing down on Smith's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Smith throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Smith stands up and waves to Wailer to follow him.
Wailer stuffs the takedown.
Smith shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wailer as he avoids it easily.
Wailer swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Smith throws a quick inside leg kick.
Smith closes the distance and clinches.
Smith wants a takedown but no success here.
Wailer manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Wailer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Smith gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Smith not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Smith trying to control but Wailer is working from the bottom.
Wailer is looking for a triangle but Smith pushes his legs off easily.
Smith throws a big right hand that misses.
Wailer working a defensive guard here.
Smith is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bunny Wailer dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Pepe Smith's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Smith looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wailer is fending him off so far but Smith persists. Nope, Wailer circles away and we're back to standing.
Smith shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Wailer defends it nicely.
Smith really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Wailer circles away from the clinch attempt.
Smith lands with a kick to the temple. Wailer shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Smith has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Smith there as he acknowledges the shot.
Smith shoots for a double leg takedown but Wailer sprawls well. He's pushed Smith's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pepe Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smith tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wailer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Smith somewhat.
Smith misses with a head kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Wailer drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Wailer wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving.

Wailer has gone for a leg lock! Smith slips out almost immediately though and dives into Wailer's guard.

Wailer is trying desperately to improve position.

Smith misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Wailer looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Smith! Submission of the night perhaps?
