Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Boris Travos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, king mawal!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Saam Ante and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
mawal tries a head kick but it misses.

Travos looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Travos is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Travos throwing strikes from guard but mawal blocks nicely.
Travos looking to pass the guard.
Travos throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Travos's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Travos seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down mawal for as long as he can get away with.
Travos is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Travos trying to control the position from guard on top but mawal is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Travos pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. mawal is keeping the position for now.
Travos wants to control from the top but mawal keeps moving.
Travos pushes down on mawal's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Travos content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Travos throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Travos lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Travos wants to control but mawal is keeping him busy.
Travos slows the pace down in half guard.
Travos's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Boris Travos just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
mawal tries a head kick but it misses.

Travos shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Travos winds up and cracks mawal with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Travos closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming mawal to the mat! mawal manages to get full guard.
Travos sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Travos with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Travos stays in close to mawal's body and controls the position.
Travos has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Travos working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Travos controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Travos postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Travos blocks a head kick by mawal.

Travos shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Travos was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
mawal is breathing heavily.
Travos controlling the position easily from mount.
Travos with the ground and pound from mount.


It looks like king mawal has been cut.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Travos postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt mawal bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Travos and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Boris Travos!
