Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jerry Swansgold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kim Woo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jerry Swansgold!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kim Woo!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Swansgold as he jumps to the side.
Swansgold attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Swansgold wants to clinch.

Woo shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Swansgold manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Woo lands a couple of digs.
Swansgold looking for a sweep. Not yet Swansgold, not yet.
Swansgold can't keep his opponent in guard - Woo advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Woo is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Woo works his foot free and advances to mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Swansgold flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Swansgold avoids a series of strikes thrown by Woo.

Woo looking for a guillotine from mount but Swansgold is having none of it.
Swansgold can't escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Woo avoids the attempt from Swansgold to control.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Woo cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Swansgold is looking to improve his position but Woo isn't that keen on the idea.
Woo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Swansgold is working hard here to advance position.
Woo avoids the attempt from Swansgold to control.

Woo jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Swansgold is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Swansgold and Woo has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Woo postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Woo is looking to take a break and control but Swansgold is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Swansgold tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Woo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Swansgold managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Woo.

Swansgold wants to get back to his feet but Woo drags him back down.
Swansgold can't do much from the bottom here.
Swansgold is looking to reverse the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Woo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Swansgold sprawls well. Swansgold wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Woo gets slowly back to his feet.
Swansgold is looking to chop away at Woo's legs.
Swansgold tries to bum rush Woo with a series of wild strikes but Woo uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Swansgold lands a glancing blow to the side of Woo's head.
Swansgold tries to clinch there but Woo circles away.
Woo takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Woo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Swansgold is fending him off so far but Woo persists. Nope, Swansgold circles away and we're back to standing.
Jerry Swansgold has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kim Woo.
Swansgold misses the shot to the body.
Swansgold is looking to clinch but Woo is avoiding it.

Swansgold tries to close the distance and clinch up but Woo swats him away and circles back towards the center.

No joy there for Swansgold, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Kim Woo dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Woo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Swansgold sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Woo somewhat.
A punch combination from Swansgold misses.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Woo is defended easily by Swansgold.
Swansgold tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Woo paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Woo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Swansgold as he avoids it easily.
Jerry Swansgold has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kim Woo.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Swansgold tries to clinch up but Woo circles away and keeps his distance.
No luck for Woo with that takedown attempt.

Swansgold lands a really nice looking cross but Woo seems unphased.
Swansgold really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Swansgold gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Woo gets to his feet - Swansgold follows without any prompting.
Woo takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Swansgold tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Swansgold lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Woo backs up against the cage.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Swansgold wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Woo has him pressed against the cage.
Woo is struggling to control the position.

A frustrated look appears on Swansgold's face as he tries to break the clinch.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jerry Swansgold will probably get the nod.

Woo shoots in and drives through. Swansgold sprawls well.
Swansgold will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Swansgold tries a low kick but Woo avoids it.

Woo closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Woo lands in his opponent's guard.
Woo slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Swansgold is trying to get back to half guard.

Woo tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Woo takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Swansgold is looking to regain half guard here but Woo keeps moving and retains side control.
You can see the frustration on Swansgold's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Woo is looking for a kimura but Swansgold is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Woo to get the leverage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Swansgold is trying to stand up here but Woo is controlling him well.

Woo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Woo gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Swansgold with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Swansgold fails with an attempt to clinch.
Woo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Swansgold's waist but Swansgold gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Woo off to one side.

The fight stays on the outside here - Swansgold looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Swansgold scores with a one two! Woo had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Swansgold throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Woo is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Swansgold's half guard.
Swansgold tries to roll over but Woo keeps him under control.

Swansgold has his hands clasped together around Woo's back. He's all about the action.

Woo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Swansgold doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Woo.

Kim Woo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Woo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
