The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nguyen throws a series of punches but Fist avoids them all with ease.

Fist drops back looking for a leg! Nguyen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Nguyen manages to kick Fist off! Fist jumps back into Nguyen's guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Nguyen throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Nguyen looks to land a body kick but Fist moved away.

Fist takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Nguyen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Fist, pushing him back against the cage.

Fist gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Nguyen regains guard.

Fist drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fist jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Fist crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Nguyen - the referee stops the clock and Fist gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Nguyen. Fist manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
A left and a right from Nguyen both land. Nice combination.
Fist throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Nguyen sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Fist moves out of range of the leg kick from Nguyen.

Fist closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Fist is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Nguyen is trying to escape and Fist transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Nguyen is forced to tap! Nice work there by Fist! Very nice indeed!
