The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Black.
Black stuffs the takedown attempt from Hussein. Hussein gets slowly back to his feet.
Hussein shoots for a double leg takedown but Black sprawls well. He's pushed Hussein's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Black loads up on a big right hand but Hussein slips the punch.
Black avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Black tries to land a leg kick but Hussein saw it coming and moves away.

Hussein scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Hussein is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Black is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Hussein goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Black rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Hussein's guard! Nice work there by Black!
Black passes Hussein's left leg - he's now in half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Black trying to control from half guard but Hussein is working away.
Black is looking to advance position but Hussein won't allow it.
Black will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Black wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hussein keeps working.

Black thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Jet Black has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Krammer Hussein.
Hussein tries for a takedown but Black sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Black throws a hook to the side of Hussein's head but Hussein sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Black missing with a left hand there. Hussein was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Black throws out a loose jab but Hussein uses good head movement to avoid it.

Black shoots in and bounces Hussein off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Black throws a big right hand that misses.
Black loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Black throws and elbow that misses. Hussein uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Black's guard. Nice move by Hussein!

Hussein trying to control the position from guard on top but Black is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hussein trying to stand up but can't free himself from Black's guard.
Black seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Hussein throwing strikes from guard but Black blocks nicely.

Hussein won't allow Black to get back to his feet.

Black has his feet on Hussein's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Black misses with an uppercut. Hussein saw that one coming.
Black scores with a jab.
Black stuffs the takedown attempt from Hussein. Hussein gets slowly back to his feet.
Black misses with a low kick as Hussein jumps back.
Black looks to throw the jab but Hussein is out of range.
Black dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Hussein looks gassed!

and Hussein counters with a shoot takedown. Black fights it but they end up in guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hussein wants to control from the top but Black keeps moving.

Black pushes Hussein off and gets back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Black's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Black lands a big right hand that sends Hussein crashing to the mat! Black stays standing though and waves Hussein back to his feet!

Hussein is rocked!

It looks like Krammer Hussein has been cut.
Hussein takes a shot to the body in his stride.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Black cracks Hussein with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Hussein tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Black pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Hussein is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
