Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Fedro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Hart Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hart Smith has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Luis Engracia and Paulo Santos.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fedro fails with a takedown attempt.
Hart Smith looks gassed!
Hart Smith has his takedown stuffed

and Fedro counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hart Smith's guard now.
Fedro not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Fedro gets to his feet - Hart Smith follows without any prompting.

Fedro clinches up with Hart Smith and pushes him back against the cage.

Fedro turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Fedro manages to end up in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fedro stands up and beckons Hart Smith to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Fedro feints and as Hart Smith raises his hands in defense, Fedro changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Fedro slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Fedro advances nicely into full mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fedro is landing with some decent strikes but Hart Smith is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Fedro lands a nice shot to the head.
Hart Smith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fedro. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fedro working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Hart Smith turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Fedro off and cradles Hart Smith's limp body as Fedro celebrates with his corner.
