Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between urijah faber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Last Chance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Last Chance is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
faber throws the left hand but Chance avoids the punch easily.

Chance shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Chance was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
faber has given up his back. Will we see Chance going for some submissions?
faber is in bad spot here.
faber covering up well under a barage of strikes.
faber tries to roll but Chance sticks to his back.
faber might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
faber rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Chance is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for faber!

faber can't escape the position.
Chance misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Chance prevents faber from getting the reversal.
Chance manages to capitalize on a mistake by faber to take his back!
faber rolls, trying to escape but Chance keeps control of the position.
faber is working hard here to advance position.

faber is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Chance gets his way!

Chance is trying to stick to faber's back but faber is turning into Chance. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Chance's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by faber.

faber prevents Chance from getting back to his feet.
faber passes Chance's left leg - he's now in half guard.

faber looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Chance kicks off faber and gets to his feet.
faber dodges the punch combination from Chance.
Horrible takedown by Chance or perhaps it was just good defense by faber which made him look bad.
faber stuffs the takedown attempt from Chance. Chance gets slowly back to his feet.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

faber closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Chance did well to prevent faber getting side control.

Chance drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Chance jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

faber has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Chance escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Chance!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chance has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
faber throws a series of punches but Chance moves out of range.

faber is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Chance is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
urijah faber overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Chance is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, faber asserts his dominance and retains side control.

faber thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

faber is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Chance is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

faber goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Chance has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for faber but great work by Chance.

Chance throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for faber because Chance loaded up on that one.
faber tries to reverse the position but Chance maintains control.
Chance forces the positional change into back control.

Chance has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
faber tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

faber is desperately trying to improve his position but Chance has a good base and remains in mount.
faber regains half guard.
Chance prevents faber from improving his position.
faber gets full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
faber is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Chance gets the takedown into side control.
faber is looking to regain half guard here but Chance keeps moving and retains side control.
faber is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Chance off and has taken his back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

faber working for a choke but Chance reverses nicely into faber 's guard.
faber can't keep his opponent in guard - Chance advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Chance moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from faber.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

faber tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Chance has hold of faber's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and faber manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
faber bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

faber drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Chance dives on top into guard.

Chance stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

faber uses his free foot to push down on Chance's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Chance.

faber swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Chance is now in faber's guard. A big mistake from faber there, giving up the dominant position!

faber is looking for a triangle here but Chance uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
