The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blackmore tries to close the distance and clinch but Nogueira swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Nogueira darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Nogueira has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Nogueira dives in and grabs Blackmore's left leg, looking for a takedown. Blackmore pushes down on Nogueira's head and hops out.

and Nogueira counters with a nice double leg into side control. Blackmore won't be happy with that.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Anderson Nogueira will probably get the nod.

Horrible takedown by Nogueira or perhaps it was just good defense by Blackmore which made him look bad.
Blackmore darts in and clinches Nogueira up against the cage.
