Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between tanner barker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samir Kahric (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, tanner barker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Samir Kahric!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as barker checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
An inside leg kick lands from Kahric.
tanner barker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
barker takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
barker swats away the attempt to clinch by Kahric.
barker tries for a takedown but Kahric sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
barker tries a head kick but it misses.
A solid leg kick lands there for Kahric.
Kahric circles away from the clinch attempt.

barker moves into the clinch.
Kahric gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from barker.
Kahric jumps guard but barker stands there with Kahric around his waist. Kahric gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
barker drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kahric pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for tanner barker. That's going to take a lot out of him.

barker shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kahric napping and manages to drive through into side control!
You can see the frustration on Kahric's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

barker is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kahric has escaped the position, nice work there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kahric tries to improve position but can't.
Kahric is trying to control barker's posture but barker avoids it.
barker in side control, throwing shots but Kahric defends.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

barker is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kahric is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Kahric tries to improve position but can't.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
barker has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Kahric.
Kahric lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as barker backs up against the cage.


It looks like tanner barker has been cut.
Kahric wants to clinch up but barker keeps it at a distance.
Kahric misses with a low kick as barker jumps back.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kahric avoids the head kick by barker.

Kahric closes the distance and clinches.
barker misses with an elbow strike.
Kahric wants a takedown but no success here.

barker has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Kahric is trying to keep an underhook but barker manages to get the takedown into half guard.
barker is breathing heavily.

Kahric looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
barker is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kahric doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time barker.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Samir Kahric will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on tanner barker's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Kahric shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Kahric was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
barker is trying to reverse the position but instead Kahric has taken his back - oops!
barker tries to roll but Kahric sticks to his back.
barker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kahric on the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kahric struggling to keep hold of the position.

Kahric looking for the choke but no joy.

Kahric is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Kahric is breathing heavily.
barker is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kahric has the hooks in. barker is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
barker breaks Kahric's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
barker passes into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
barker is just content to waste time from the top position. Kahric takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
barker wants to control from the top but Kahric keeps moving.

Kahric looking for submissions from the bottom but instead barker passes into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

barker is trying to work for a kimura but Kahric is defending well.
barker throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Samir Kahric showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on tanner barker's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!


barker gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Kahric counters with a good low kick that barker was not able to check.
barker misses with a takedown
and Kahric counters with a right hand to the body.
barker tries to clinch up but Kahric circles away and keeps his distance.
Kahric shoots in for a double leg but barker sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

barker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Kahric shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kahric showed some decent athleticism there.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Kahric escapes and gets back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Kahric.

Kahric is trying to get an arm triangle but barker is defending well.
Kahric tries to stand but barker controls the position and pulls Kahric into his guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kahric stopping the sweep attempt from barker.
barker on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if barker tries to get out of the position.

barker working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kahric doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kahric manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
barker looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
barker is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Kahric dives into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
What's barker going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
Kahric trying to control the position but barker is working away.

And that's the end of the fight!
Samir Kahric comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kahric has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
