Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Timmy Lupus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinzo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinzo Silva!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Shimada and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries to clinch up.
Lupus looks to score with a jab to the body but Silva is just out of range.

Silva gets a clinch.
Lupus fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Lupus pulls Silva into guard.
Lupus is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Silva wants to pass the guard but Lupus is keeping the position.

Lupus throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Silva is looking to stand up but Lupus won't let him.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Silva wants to get up but he can't break Lupus's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Silva avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Lupus has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Silva passes Lupus's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lupus is trying to get back to full guard.
Lupus won't allow Silva to pass to mount.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Lupus looking to hit a scissor sweep but Silva is one step ahead there.

Silva postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Lupus is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Silva, into his guard.
Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lupus. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Silva is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Silva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lupus doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lupus manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Lupus sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Silva's guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Lupus lands a nice short elbow.

Silva is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Lupus has latched onto it... Big trouble! Lupus pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Silva is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Lupus!
