These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andrews slaps away a takedown attempt from Cordem, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Andrews closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Cordem did well to prevent Andrews getting side control.
Cordem is looking to improve his position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Andrews lands a nice short elbow.

Andrews is keen to just control but Cordem is a slippery customer.
Andrews lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
