Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between lamont kevler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DeMarcus Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think kevler might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to have a nice day. DeMarcus Johnson has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with lamont kevler's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Joseph Jones and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
kevler gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
kevler managing to control the position.
Johnson throwing strikes from guard but kevler blocks nicely.
kevler is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Johnson distracts kevler with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. kevler swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Johnson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Johnson is looking to work some ground and pound but kevler has wrist control.
kevler working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Johnson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Johnson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
kevler has his foot on Johnson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Johnson works his way back into a safe position though.

Johnson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Johnson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as kevler works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Johnson trying to control the position from guard on top but kevler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Johnson wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of kevler's closed guard. He's half up but kevler has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! kevler pivots and extends the arm, Johnson falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by kevler! Well done that man!
