Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Aruki Masura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hans Gruber!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gruber tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Masura paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Masura shoots in and drives through. Gruber sprawls well.
Gruber looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Masura avoids a kick to the body.
Gruber tries to clinch up.
Masura slips a jab and a cross from Gruber.
Gruber throws a quick inside leg kick.
Gruber wants to clinch.
Gruber doesn't manage to clinch there - Masura circles away.
Gruber throws a nice looking combination but Masura bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Gruber tries to land knees in the clinch but Masura avoids the damage to the body.

Gruber seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Masura drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Gruber manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Masura has Gruber in his guard.

Masura pushes Gruber off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Gruber tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Gruber connects with a high kick.
It looks like Aruki Masura has been cut.
Gruber darts in and clinches Masura up against the cage.
Masura changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Gruber fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Gruber throws a half hearted mid kick.

and Gruber makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Gruber.
Gruber is looking to clinch but Masura is avoiding it.
Gruber drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Masura avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Gruber.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Masura is looking to reverse the position.
Gruber wants to control but Masura is keeping him busy.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Masura is breathing heavily.
Gruber decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Masura has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aruki Masura. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gruber explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Gruber tries to clinch but Masura moves out of range.

The fight stays on the outside here - Gruber looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Gruber turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Gruber manages to end up in side control.
Gruber decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gruber rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Masura moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Gruber lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Gruber.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Masura is not content to let Gruber control the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Masura is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Masura gets back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gruber has Masura up against the cage in a clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Gruber takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Masura is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Gruber gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Gruber has Masura pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Gruber pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Masura tumbling to the mat - Gruber dives into Masura's guard.

Masura had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gruber defends it easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Gruber is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Gruber has Masura pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Gruber pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Masura tumbling to the mat - Gruber dives into Masura's guard.
Masura is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Gruber has his hands clasped together but Masura extends an breaks Gruber's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Masura.
