Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tong Po (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and boris the beast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). boris the beast acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tong Po!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, boris the beast!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
the beast misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Po shoots in for a takedown but the beast shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Po postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! the beast is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Po, into his guard.

Po preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Po escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. the beast gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Po looking for a guillotine here but the beast defends easily.

Po has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but the beast can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Po has his foot on the beast's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. the beast works his way back into a safe position though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Tong Po seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Po dives in and grabs the beast's left leg, looking for a takedown. the beast pushes down on Po's head and hops out.

Po is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. the beast doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Po.

and Po takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Po tries to score a power double leg takedown but the beast sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Po somewhat.

the beast got a little sloppy there for a moment and Po has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, the beast has managed to get both his arms back between Po's legs - danger averted.

Po shoots for a double leg takedown but the beast sprawls well. He's pushed Po's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Po changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. the beast tries to avoid it but Po manages to keep hold of a leg and drag the beast to the ground. the beast escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Po drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Po wants to control from the top but the beast keeps moving.

Po throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Po had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. the beast is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Po Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take the beast's back instead.

Po gets his hands free as the beast looks to control.
