Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cody Klein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BRYAN RED EYES (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). BRYAN RED EYES is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klein tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

RED EYES gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

RED EYES has his foot on Klein's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Klein works his way back into a safe position though.

Klein is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Klein drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but RED EYES manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Klein has RED EYES in his guard.

Klein throws a chopping leg kick but RED EYES manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Klein postures up in RED EYES's guard and throws a big left but RED EYES blocks it.
Klein keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of RED EYES's head.
Klein throws a big right hand that misses.

Klein gets to his feet - RED EYES follows without any prompting.
Klein plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Klein is breathing heavily.
RED EYES fails to land the takedown.
RED EYES slips a jab and a cross from Klein.

Klein throws a wild body kick that RED EYES sees coming a mile off.

Cody Klein has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of BRYAN RED EYES.
Klein throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Klein throws a series of strikes that have RED EYES backpedaling.
RED EYES displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Klein throws out the jab.

RED EYES is trying desperately to land a takedown but Klein is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for RED EYES.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

so Klein counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Klein drops back, looking for a kneebar! RED EYES looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. RED EYES looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from RED EYES!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Klein is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Klein changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. RED EYES looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
RED EYES manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Klein is looking for a kimura here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Klein seems to be looking for submissions.

RED EYES is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Klein's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Klein's back!

RED EYES looking for the choke but no joy.

RED EYES is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Klein has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but RED EYES has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Klein taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. RED EYES doesn't care though - he's delighted!
