The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewis throws a sloppy head kick and Rama moves out of range easily.
Lewis fails with a takedown attempt.

Rama clinches up against the cage.

Lewis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lewis closes the distance and clinches up with Rama, looking for a takedown. Lewis pushes Rama against the cage but Rama circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Isaac Lewis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lewis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rama as he jumps to the side.
Hito Rama has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Isaac Lewis.
Lewis fails with the takedown.
Rama shoots in but no luck this time.
Rama misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Lewis circles away from the clinch attempt.

and Rama counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Lewis looks gassed!

Rama is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Rama has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Lewis defend it? Rama steps over the head and cranks it - Lewis is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Rama!
