The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phillips throws out a loose jab but Katorjnov uses good head movement to avoid it.
Katorjnov misses with a looping left.
Katorjnov throws a nice looking combination but Phillips bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Katorjnov stuffs the takedown.
Phillips throws a front kick aimed at Katorjnov's knee but Katorjnov avoids it well.

Phillips closes the distance and clinches up with Katorjnov, looking for a takedown. Phillips pushes Katorjnov against the cage but Katorjnov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Katorjnov scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Phillips doesn't seem bothered though.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Phillips checks a leg kick.
Katorjnov slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Phillips will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Katorjnov misses with the combination.
Katorjnov connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
