The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Willwerth connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Slewton thows a body shot but no joy.
Willwerth throws a right and a left that Slewton avoids nicely.
Slewton lands a front kick.
Willwerth misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Willwerth.
Willwerth will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Willwerth closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Carlos Slewton has been cut.
Willwerth gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Slewton to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Willwerth is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Slewton defends well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Slewton accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Willwerth sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

That was a close round but I would say that Carlos Slewton will probably get the nod.

Slewton changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Willwerth tries to avoid it but Slewton manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Willwerth to the ground. Willwerth escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Slewton, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
