The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Mezhidov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Badu had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Mezhidov is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Badu Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Mezhidov's back instead.

Mezhidov is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Badu off. It looks like it's working - Badu slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Mezhidov displaying calm under pressure there.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Mezhidov moves in looking to clinch but Badu pushes him off.
Mezhidov throws a series of punches but Badu avoids them all with ease.
Mezhidov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Badu circles away quickly and effectively.

Badu sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mezhidov's guard.

That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Mezhidov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Badu gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Badu drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Badu jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Badu is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
