Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between bash jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abel Stamp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, bash jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Abel Stamp!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksandr Martynov and Vladimir Khabensky.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
jones shoots in for a double leg but Stamp sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Stamp lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Stamp.
Stamp changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

jones closes the distance and clinches.
Stamp is trying to break free.

jones is pushing Stamp up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
jones lands a left hand that snaps the head of Stamp backwards.
jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Stamp wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but jones has him pressed against the cage.

jones is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Stamp can't fight it off and eventually jones manages to take the fight to the floor. Stamp looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Stamp is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Stamp is trying to keep jones in close.

Stamp escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. jones gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Stamp looking to control but jones passes into half guard.

Stamp is trying to stand.
jones prevents Stamp from improving his position.
Stamp moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
jones wants to control from the top but Stamp keeps moving.
jones won't allow Stamp to get back to his feet.

Stamp is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and jones defends well.
jones throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Stamp works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
jones seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Stamp working for a triangle but jones defends it easily.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
jones drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Stamp dives on top into guard.
jones throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
jones looking to hit a scissor sweep but Stamp is one step ahead there.

Stamp is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Stamp not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Stamp is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Stamp escapes and gets back to his feet.
Stamp loads up on a big right hand but jones slips the punch.

jones drives through and clinches with Stamp against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Stamp's face as he tries to break the clinch.
jones has Stamp pressed against the cage, preventing Stamp from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

jones turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and jones manages to end up in side control.
jones looking to control but instead Stamp has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Stamp scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
jones struggling a bit here.

Stamp decides to stand back up.
Stamp lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Stamp rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Stamp connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
jones tries to score a power double leg takedown but Stamp sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten jones somewhat.
jones tries to clinch there but Stamp circles away.
jones ducks under a wild hook from Stamp.
Stamp stuffs the takedown attempt from jones. jones gets slowly back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

and jones counters with a shoot takedown. Stamp fights it but they end up in guard.
bash jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

jones avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Stamp is on top in guard.
Stamp is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

jones is working an open guard so Stamp takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

jones shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stamp as he jumps to the side.

and jones counters with a left and a right that stings Stamp.

Stamp lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Stamp misses with a series of wild punches.
Stamp stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Stamp wants it to stay on the feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Stamp fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but jones avoids it really well and circles away.

Stamp scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

jones decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
jones slips a nice elbow through Stamp's hands, connecting with Stamp's forehead.
Stamp is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of jones's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take jones's back!

jones controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
jones breaks Stamp's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
jones lands a couple of digs.
jones wants to stand but Stamp has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
jones won't allow Stamp to get back to his feet.
Stamp is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Stamp manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. jones manages to get himself to full guard.

Abel Stamp showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! jones's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

jones takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
jones shoots for a double leg takedown but Stamp sprawls well. He's pushed jones's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Stamp fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

jones has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Stamp's face.
Stamp is looking to improve his position but jones isn't that keen on the idea.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to bash jones.
