Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keith Capita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Baroni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Keith Capita!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Phil Baroni!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baroni lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Capita circles away quickly and effectively.
Baroni scores with the left hand. Capita knows he should have avoided that one.
Baroni looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Capita forces Baroni back against the cage and clinches.
Baroni is trying to break the clinch but Capita has him pressed against the cage.

Capita pulls guard.
Capita bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Baroni's guard.

Capita gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Baroni scores with a one two! Capita had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.


It looks like Keith Capita has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Capita throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Baroni's waist but Baroni gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Capita off to one side.
Baroni leaves Capita with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Baroni fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Baroni connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Baroni looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Baroni fails to land with a series of punches.
Baroni works over Capita's head and body with a nice combination.
Baroni will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Baroni looks gassed!

Baroni looks to land a combination but Capita avoids it well.
Capita tries for a takedown but Baroni sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Keith Capita. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Capita cracks a nice hook into Baroni's ribs.

Capita clinches.

Capita escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Capita shoots in and bounces Baroni off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Capita passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Baroni is not content to let Capita control the position.

Capita advances to mount.

Capita is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Baroni has managed to escape the submission attempt.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Capita working the ground and pound effectively.

Capita working for a submission but Baroni is keeping him at bay.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Baroni is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Capita can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Baroni is looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Phil Baroni will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Keith Capita's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Capita shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Baroni's guard.

Capita thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Capita decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Baroni, up you get!
The crowd cheers as Baroni lands an impressive looking overhand right. Capita doesn't seem phased though.
Phil Baroni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Baroni misses with an uppercut. Capita saw that one coming.
Capita will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Nice sprawl there from Baroni as Capita shoots in.
Capita doesn't manage to clinch there - Baroni circles away.
Baroni connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Capita's hands.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Capita tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Baroni swivels and escapes.

Baroni throws a right and a left that both miss.
Baroni should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Capita dodges the punch combination from Baroni.
Capita fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Keith Capita. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Baroni lands a lovely overhand right.
Capita takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Baroni swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Capita.
Baroni tries to bum rush Capita with a series of wild strikes but Capita uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Baroni will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Capita looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Capita decides to stand up.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Capita.
Baroni rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Capita moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Phil Baroni is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Baroni throws an overhand right that lands on Capita's shoulder, as Capita tries to avoid the shot.

Capita shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Baroni napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Baroni is trying to escape the position but Capita is controlling the position.

Capita controlling the pace for now.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Capita moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Baroni has worked his arm free - good work by Baroni!
Capita tries to score with some ground and pound. Baroni controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Capita trying to control the action but Baroni is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Keith Capita will probably get the nod.

That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


A lazy left from Baroni finds it's target.
Baroni misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Capita clinches.
Baroni wants to get back to striking at distance but Capita won't allow it.

Capita escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Capita avoids a punch combination nicely.
Baroni throws a right and a left that both miss.
Capita dives in and grabs Baroni's left leg, looking for a takedown. Baroni pushes down on Capita's head and hops out.
Capita takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Capita throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Baroni.

Capita closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Capita lands in his opponent's guard.
Capita is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Capita is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Capita advances to half guard.
Capita will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Capita is figuring out what he wants to do next.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Capita decides to return to a standing position.
Baroni misses with a hook. Capita ducked under it nicely.
Capita misses with a two punch combination.
Good standup being displayed there by Baroni as he connects with a hook.

Baroni gets caught flat footed, as Capita shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Capita is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Capita wants to control from the top but Baroni keeps moving.

Capita stands up from Baroni's guard - Capita perhaps looking for a knockout.
Keith Capita is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Capita throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Baroni's waist but Baroni gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Capita off to one side.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

and Capita counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Capita trying to control but Baroni is working from the bottom.
Capita trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Capita connects with a couple of short punches.
Baroni really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Capita. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Capita trying to control but Baroni is working from the bottom.

And that's the end of the fight!
Keith Capita showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Capita has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
