The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mendez shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Mendez was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Mendez takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Brabus in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Brabus is trying desperately to improve position.
Brabus knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mendez on the ground.
The referee warns Brabus that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Brabus is squirming around, avoiding Mendez's attempts to control the action.
Mendez is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Mendez lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Mendez prevents Brabus from getting the reversal.
Brabus on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Brabus tries to get out of the position.
Brabus wants to control but Mendez is having none of it.
Mendez looking to control but Brabus is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brabus tries to hold on but Mendez pushes him away.

Mendez lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Brabus! Mendez sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Brabus and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
