Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garupa throws a right hand that Kikaida ducks under and follows up with a left that Kikaida also avoids with ease.

Kikaida closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The strikes coming from Kikaida are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
You can see the frustration on Garupa's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Kikaida cracks Garupa with a big right hand but Garupa just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Garupa is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kikaida's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kikaida's back!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Kikaida looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Garupa is trying to get back to full guard.
Garupa has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kikaida is working away from the top position though.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kikaida connects with a nice short shot to Garupa's temple.

Kikaida is breathing heavily.
Kikaida misses with a head shot. Garupa uses the momentum to regain guard.
Garupa preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Kikaida won't allow Garupa to sweep him here.
Garupa doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Kikaida really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Garupa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Garupa had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Kikaida is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Garupa Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Kikaida's back instead.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Garupa is controlling the position but Kikaida somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.
Kikaida tries to kick Garupa off but Garupa keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Garupa fails with an attempt to clinch.
Garupa shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kikaida as he avoids it easily.
Garupa tries to close the distance and clinch but Kikaida swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Kikaida looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Garupa is looking for a sweep. Kikaida is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Garupa keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Garupa wants to control but Kikaida is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Garupa slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Garupa has his feet on Kikaida's thighs here. He's pushed Kikaida off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Kikaida screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
